The Long Shadow by Liza Marklund
Paperback: A violent robbery has killed an entire family on the Costa Del Sol.
Annika Bengtzon is assigned to cover the story for the Evening Post. But when she arrives in Spain, she discovers there was a third child - a teenage daughter - who is unaccounted for.
Annika makes it her mission to find the missing girl. But as she delves into the mystery she becomes embroiled in a far darker side of Spanish life than she'd envisioned, as she begins to piece together a terrifying story of violence, abuse and murder.

I read The Long Shadow, the first book I ever read by Liza Marklund, thoroughly enjoyed it and went looking for another one. Just read Lifetime, which I gather is before The Long Shadow, but still really enjoyed it. I would have preferred to read in sequence but cannot find a list of her books. Will definitely read another though.
ReplyDeleteHi Sweep, thanks for your comment. You can buy Marklund's books from Amazon or a bookstore if you're in the UK or the USA. I'm not sure about elsewhere. Do check out www.fantasticfiction.co.uk for most author's works all over the world. It's a great site.
