About the author: Rachel Maria Mastrogiacomo is a survivor of extreme clerical abuse. She is a major whistleblower of clerical sexual abuse (CSA) and satanic ritual abuse (SRA) in the Catholic Church. In 2022, Cardinal McElroy’s promotion to the cardinalate, despite his documented coverup of Mastrogiacomo’s SRA, was considered a “Top Vatican scandal.” Mastrogiacomo, a wife and mother, remains a devout Catholic and calls for church reform. She and her husband have served as missionaries on three continents and are passionate about orphan care and adoption. She holds bachelor degrees in Theology and Catechetics from Franciscan University, and a European degree in Spirituality from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
